Awareness and perceptions of the compensation calculator
The majority of people eligible for compensation have heard about the compensation calculator. However, among those not eligible, awareness is limited.
Three quarters (75%) of those eligible for compensation have definitely heard or think they have heard about the compensation calculator.
However, among those not eligible just one in seven (14%) have definitely heard or think they have heard about the calculator. People who have definitely or think they have heard of the calculator are more likely to know a lot/fair amount about IBCA (56% compared to 14% overall) and feel they understand IBCA's role (45% compared to 14% overall).
The majority of people (80%) had not heard about the compensation calculator. Awareness was lower among 55 and over (88%).

Over half of those who have heard of the calculator have not used it (58%). However, of those who are eligible for compensation, four fifths (81%) have definitely or think they have heard of it.
The majority of those who have claimed or are planning to claim compensation (94%) have definitely or think they have heard of the calculator.
Of those who had used the calculator (51), 85% found it very or fairly useful.
