Children
You will be eligible for compensation if one or both of your parents was infected. This also applies if you are adopted or a stepchild. Your parent must have provided care for you on a regular basis for at least a year before you turned 18, regardless of whether they were infected at that time or not.

If you are a disabled person who was financially dependent on your parent that has died, you may be able to get more compensation for financial loss through the supplementary route for affected people. This is because, as a disabled person, you may have expected to be financially dependent on them after you turned 18.
