Knowledge and trust of the Infected Blood Compensation Scheme

A strong sense of understanding

Most of our community understands where to go to register for information about the compensation scheme, and who is eligible for compensation through it.

However, around a quarter (26%) of those surveyed felt as though they didn't adequately understand how to register for information.

Shared concerns regarding fraud

Almost three quarters (72%) of the community is concerned about fraud occurring within the compensation scheme, especially surrounding those eligible being victims of fraud. This concern is particularly high from those ages 75 and above.

Additionally, every three in five people (60%) are concerned about people applying for compensation who are not eligible for it.
