Today (11 September 2025) we have released our latest compensation figures.

All the figures on this page are correct as of 9 September 2025.

People asked to begin compensation claims

A total of 3,471 people have been asked to start their claim.

Of this number, 3,122 have started the claim process.

Compensation offers

So far, 1,615 people have received an offer.

The total value of offers made is £1,227,232,695.98.

People paid

A total of 1,299 people have had their compensation paid.

Those who have chosen to continue receiving payments from their existing support schemes for life, with an additional compensation amount from IBCA, are described as the ‘adjusted’ route.

Those who have chosen to receive all of their compensation in a one-off compensation payment directly from IBCA, and no longer receive regular support scheme payments for life, are described as the ‘core’ route.

The ‘adjusted’ route compensation figure above only includes the amount that IBCA has paid to people when they’ve chosen the adjusted route. It does not include payments for life that people continue to receive from the support schemes.
