Hannah Probert

Biography

Hannah Probert joined the Civil Service in 2016 after completing a PhD in History. Starting at the Home Office as a project manager though quickly moved into roles in policy including serving as the Head of Policy, Business Design and Finance for the establishment of a new Home Office Arm's-Length Body and establishing and running the Inquest and Inquiries Unit.

Hannah moved to the Cabinet Office in 2020 to become Deputy Head of the Priority Projects Unit taking on a variety of projects including managing the Government's No Deal Portfolio, managing the delivery of three command papers, red-teaming the Government's Northern Ireland Policy and leading the secretariat several Cabinet Committees including Economic and Domestic Strategy and the National Security Council. She then became Deputy Director EU Contingencies and Strategy in the Supply Chains Unit in 2021 and then took on a number of Deputy Director roles in the Cabinet Office including as DD Policy and Witness Support for the Public Inquiries Response Unit before joining IBCA as Deputy Director for Strategy, Design and Governance in September 2024.
