As you may be aware, the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Infected Blood Compensation Authority), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.
We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and we provide a response for your attention.
Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Finance and Communications directorates of the Infected Blood Compensation Authority. We can confirm that the information you have requested is held by the Infected Blood Compensation Authority.
You asked the following
- Please provide a financial breakdown for the costs incurred and total cost for each of your drop-in events held so far.
- For each drop-in, please confirm how many staff you had attending and how many of the public attended.
- Please provide a breakdown of the costs involved to date for the Community Advisory Panel.

We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) and have provided a response for your attention below.
IBCA ran community drop-in sessions in response to members of the Infected Blood community who wanted to meet members of IBCA and talk to claims managers about how the process for compensation claims works.
