We are hosting our first informal drop-in session in Glasgow in January 2026. This is part of a series of events we plan to hold across the UK.
Feedback from members of the infected blood community told us that they would value speaking to us in person in an informal setting. As a result, we are now beginning a series of drop-ins, holding these in the most popular locations identified in the feedback. These sessions are a chance to meet the Infected Blood Compensation Authority (IBCA) team and ask us questions about claiming compensation.
What to expect
The event will be informal and there are no long presentations or fixed agendas.
You can chat with our team over a cup of tea and ask questions about the claims process. We can also talk about the evidence you need to make a claim and how we protect you from fraud.
We understand that attending may feel difficult for some people. We have designed these sessions to be as comfortable and discreet as possible. You can take things at your own pace.
British Red Cross support
We know that talking about your experience or your claim can be difficult. The British Red Cross will be at the event to offer independent emotional support. They are there to listen if you feel overwhelmed or just need a quiet moment.
